SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Natalie Williams scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Utah Starzz beat the Portland Fire 83-73 Monday night.

Michelle VanGorp led Portland with 16 points. Tara Williams added 15 and Michelle Marciniak had 10 for the Fire (10-21).

The Fire were down by 11 early, but cut the Starzz lead to two just before halftime. That was as close as Portland would come.

Trailing by as many as 15 in the second half, Portland got within nine with four minutes to go. Utah was 6-of-10 from the foul line in the final minutes to close out the game.

The Starzz (17-14) were without Adrienne Goodson, out with an injury. Her replacement, LaTonya Johnson, scored 10 points. Cory Hlede added 11 for Utah.
