ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Betty Lennox scored 24 points and Katie Smith 23 as the Minnesota Lynx cruised to a 71-57 victory over the Orlando Miracle on Thursday night. The Lynx took a 41-17 lead at halftime as the Miracle set a franchise record for fewest points in a half. Minnesota shot 43 percent for the game, while Orlando shot just 32 percent on 19-of-58 shooting. Taj McWilliams scored 18 points as the only Orlando player to reach double figures, and also had a game-high nine rebounds. Orlando starters Adrienne Johnson and Shannon Johnson were a combined 4-of-22 from the field and forward Nykesha Sales only played 13 minutes after spraining an ankle. Minnesota maintained a second-half lead of at least 21 points until Tiffany Wait's 3-pointer with 1:56 remaining cut Minnesota's lead to 67-49. The Miracle finished the game on a 15-4 run. Backup Shanele Stires scored nine points for Minnesota. Lennox also had seven rebounds and Smith added five assists. The Lynx started the game with a 12-3 lead.
