TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Josh Keller and Danny Pena scored first-half goals and Adin Brown earned Tampa Bay's first shutout in 31 matches as the Mutiny snapped a six-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.

The Mutiny (4-16-1) extended their home winning streak against the Earthquakes (10-5-5) to seven matches and lead the all-time series 11-3.

San Jose forward Landon Donovan, the MVP of last week's All-Star Game, did not start due to a team rule violation. He entered the game early in the second half.

Brown, who had 10 saves, stopped a penalty shot by Dwayne DeRosario in the 63rd minute. The save came moments after San Jose's Manny Lago hit the post and sent a rebound header off the crossbar.

The shutout was the first for Tampa Bay since a 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on July 22, 2000.

Keller converted a pass from Steve Ralston in the 23rd minute. Pena gave the Mutiny a 2-0 lead when he scored on a header off a free kick by Mamadou Diallo in the 35th minute.
