Bravo scores twice in first 20 minutes

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Paul Bravo scored two goals in the first 20 minutes to lead the Colorado Rapids to a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Mutiny on Saturday night.

Tampa Bay (3-16-1) lost its sixth straight match and dropped to 1-8-1 at home.

Bravo opened the scoring in the 11th minute, beating former teammate Adin Brown on a breakaway. The goal was the first in three games for Colorado (5-9-6).

Bravo gave the Rapids a two-goal lead nine minutes later, converting a rebound off the left post. With the goal, Bravo became the ninth MLS player to score 50 goals.

Steve Ralston scored to the left of Colorado goalkeeper Scott Garlick in the 43rd minute as Tampa Bay closed within a goal.

Ralston had an apparent second goal disallowed by an offside call in the 69th minute.
