FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ Andy Williams' first goal of the year gave the New England Revolution a 3-2 Major League Soccer win over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Tuesday night.

In the 51st minute, Wolde Harris passed to Williams on the left side. He held off a pair of Galaxy defenders before scoring on a left-footed shot from 10 yards.

Both teams scored twice in the first half.

The Revolution (5-9-4) scored first in the seventh minute. Williams sent a cross into the box from the left side, but Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman and defender Alexi Lalas collided, and Lalas failed to clear the ball as Harris scored from 9 yards.

The Galaxy (9-6-5) tied the match in the 28th minute as Luis Hernandez took a pass from Mauricio Cienfuegos and scored from 10 yards out past Revolution goalkeeper Jeff Causey.

New England regained the lead in the 32nd minute as William Sunsing scored from 8 yards out. But Los Angeles tied the game again five minutes before halftime on a goal by Hernandez.

The victory ties the Revolution and D.C. United with 19 points in the race for a playoff berth.
