DENVER (AP) _ Ex-Colorado forward Matt Okoh scored on a penalty kick in the 86th minute, and the New England Revolution posted their third straight victory with a 1-0 decision over the Rapids on Saturday night.

Okoh's goal, which came on his 29th birthday, helped New England (3-6-0) win for the third time in eight days after beginning the season 0-6. Colorado fell to 2-5-1.

New England's Marco Antonio Lemes was taken down in the box on a leg whip by Colorado's Chris Martinez, and Okoh converted the penalty kick.

Okoh, who played 21 games with Colorado last year before being traded to New England on March 19, rifled a shot to the left of goalkeeper David Kramer, who started in place of Adin Brown after Brown injured his neck in practice on Friday.

Neither team had a shot on goal in the first half. Colorado's John Spencer just missed the goal on two headers in the half.

Kramer had the first save of the game when he stopped Leonel Alvarez's shot in the 49th minute.

Revolution goalie Juergen Sommer smothered Ross Paule's hard shot in the 63rd minute and made a diving stop on Chris Dawes in the 74th minute.
