DENVER (AP) – Cobi Jones scored the 49th and 50th goals of his Major League Soccer career to lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.

After Jones' staked Los Angeles (2-2) to a 2-1 lead, Galaxy midfielder Sasha Victorine added a goal in the 69th minute.

Jones opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, racing past a defender and sliding the ball into the lower-right corner.

Junior Agogo tied it for Colorado (0-3-1), scoring on a breakaway in the 44th minute. But the Galaxy countered on Jones' goal from the penalty area in the final seconds of the half.

"They tied it up and we responded well," Jones said. "We came right back and scored. I think that really helped us mentally and kind of demolished them going into the half."

Colorado's John Spencer scored in the 86th minute.
