Brown, McKeon pour it on for K.C.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chris Brown and Matt McKeon scored goals three minutes apart in the second half as the Kansas City Wizards beat Columbus 3-0 Saturday night for their third straight victory.

Brown gave Kansas City a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute, moments after the Crew's Tenywa Bonseu hit the crossbar on a long shot.

In the 56th minute, the Crew's Mike Clark turned the ball over at the top of the Columbus penalty box and Matt McKeon immediately knocked a shot over goalkeeper Tom Presthus to make it 3-0.

Francisco Gomez opened the scoring in the ninth minute on a diving header off a pass from Chris Klein, who had two assists.

Kansas City, the defending MLS champion, improved to 3-1-0, while Columbus dropped to 1-1-1.
