DENVER (AP) -- Paul Bravo opened the scoring and Colorado picked up another score on an own goal by San Jose defender John Doyle as the Rapids defeated the Earthquakes 2-0 Saturday night.

Bravo slid the ball past San Jose goalkeeper Joe Cannon for the first score in the fifth minute after Anders Limpar hit a corner kick from the right side and Matt Okoh headed the ball toward the goal.

Doyle mistakenly redirected Jason Moore's cross into his own goal in the 13th minute.

Colorado lost Limpar to a strained left calf in the first half. He is scheduled for an MRI on Monday.
