Tuesday, April 10 ESPN.COM WIDENS ITS LEAD OVER COMPETITORS, ACCORDING TO FEBRUARY MEDIA METRIX SURVEY |

ESPN.com, the leading sports site, continues to widen its lead over its competitors, garnering 6.1 million unique users in February, a 29% increase from a year ago, according to February Media Metrix figures. By comparison, CNNSI.com attracted 4.1 million unique users last month, and the SportsLine.com family of sites had 3.73 million. ESPN.com is part of the Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG). According to the February Media Metrix survey: · In February, users spent an average of 40.7 minutes per month on ESPN.com, compared to 23.5 minutes for the SportsLine.com sites and 17.4 minutes for CNNSI.com; · ESPN.com generated more than 215 million page views in February, compared to 93.6 million for the SportsLine.com family of sites and 66.5 million for CNNSI.com; · ESPN.com accounted for 55% of all February page views generated by ESPN.com, the SportsLine.com sites, CNNSI.com and FoxSports.com.
