Dan Patrick hits for the cycle

Dan Patrick has hit for the cycle: the ESPN SportsCenter anchor now has a signature platform on four different media with the launch this week of his own Web site (http://espn.go.com/danpatrick/). The site provides sports fans with exclusive insights from the sports personality best known for his poignant commentary, revealing, off-beat interviews with athletes, and colorful catch phrases. ESPN.com is part of GO.com (NYSE:GO).

In addition to anchoring SportsCenter and handling other assignments on ESPN, Patrick interviews athletes via his "Outtakes" column in ESPN The Magazine. The site launches in conjunction with the debut on WEVD 1050 AM in New York City, of ESPN Radio's "The Dan Patrick Show." Hosted by Patrick and featuring former major league pitcher Rob Dibble as his on-air sidekick, the show airs from 1-4 p.m. ET, and is heard on 201 ESPN Radio Network affiliates.

"Dan's site will feature timely, interactive content, and will also act as a 'best of' aggregation of his work on ESPN, ESPN Radio, and in ESPN The Magazine," said John Walsh, senior vice president & executive editor, ESPN Internet Group. "He blends an in-depth knowledge of sports and its participants with a wry sense of humor that fans find very engaging."

Patrick's Web site includes commentary and analysis from Patrick, a link to live and on-demand audio of his ESPN Radio show, and extended versions of his ESPN The Magazine "Outtakes" interviews with star athletes. The site will also boast Patrick and Dibble's book and movie reviews, their analysis for various sporting events and match-ups, monthly chats, daily polls and a Q&A section. Patrick and Dibble will also respond to user comments on the site.

Audio and video highlights from The Dan Patrick Show and Patrick's ESPN interviews, and clips of his popular catch phrases such as "en fuego" and "good," as well as postcards and a photo gallery from Patrick and Dibble's travels, will also appear on the site.
