GO.com (NYSE:GO) has reached an agreement with AT&T Wireless by which GO.com sites ABCNEWS.com and ESPN.com are the premier news and sports providers, respectively, on AT&T's new PocketNet® service. ABCNEWS.com will be the premier provider of world, U.S., business, political, technology, lifestyle and health news on the PocketNet service, which launched this week. ESPN.com will be the premier provider of sports news and scores, including: Major League Baseball; NFL; NBA; auto racing; pro golf, soccer and tennis; and college sports to PocketNet subscribers. ABCNEWS.com and ESPN.com's content will be comprised of HDML pages specifically designed for wireless delivery. "This agreement is consistent with GO.com's objective to become the number one provider of wireless content and to secure the broadest possible distribution for our sites," said Larry Shapiro, execitive vice president, corporate development, GO.com. "Getting updated news and sports information while on the move is becoming increasingly important, and GO.com can deliver terrific up-to-the-minute coverage via ABCNEWS and ESPN, two of the most trusted brands in the business." AT&T PocketNet service provides the tools needed to conduct business while on the go. Features include digital voice communication, as well as real-time access to e-mail, calendars, schedules, contacts, Web content, and more.
