They don't call him The Great One for nothing. Wayne Gretzky is known for his cool confidence and ability to always deliver.

But what does Gretzky's signature say about his personality? We asked handwriting expert Bart Baggett to analyze Gretzky's autograph and tell us what it says about the NHL legend.

Here's what Baggett found:

General notes: The uphill slant of Gretzky's writing indicates that he is a very optimistic person.

The narrow "y" indicates that Gretzky is a very socially selective person. He is very careful about whom he trusts.

The points in the "G" show that he is philosophically and spiritually curious.

The long downstroke on the "y" indicates determination and physical endurance. This is one of the most common threads among the signatures of athletes. You wouldn't see that downstroke from a lot of stay-at-home moms.
