Poll Results

They've torn up city streets, sped down rural highways and competed on both the NASCAR and CART circuits. They've driven nuclear-wired buses, stock cars and hot rods. In short, they've been behind the wheel for some of the best chase scenes in movie history.

But if you owned a racing team, which movie driver would you choose to put the pedal to your metal? Vote in the poll at left to pick your racer.

Sandra Bullock in "Speed"

Couldn't go under 50 mph if her life depended on it. However, most of her experience is limited to driving large vehicles.

Tom Cruise in "Days of Thunder"

Short enough to fit comfortably in any car. Totally focused now that he's no longer driven to distraction by tall, leggy spouse.

Morgan Freeman in "Driving Miss Daisy"

Very slow, but extremely steady and reliable.

Gene Hackman in "The French Connection"

Popeye Doyle was brave enough to chase a French hitman on a New York City subway. Now that's a wild ride!

Steve McQueen in "Bullitt"

Had killer role in the best movie chase scene ever. Showed adept skill at navigating San Francisco's tricky terrain.

Burt Reynolds in "Smokey and the Bandit"

"Had a long way to go, a short time to get there," and made Jackie Gleason look like a fool in the process.

Sylvester Stallone in "Driven"

"Yo, Fittipaldi, eat my dust."
