BOX SCORE
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Roman Turek made 36 saves and Marty Reasoner scored a fluke power-play goal, helping the St. Louis Blues post a 4-0 exhibition blanking of the Nashville Predators. Turek, who helped the Blues win the Jennings Trophy for fewest goals against last season, faced 18 shots through the first two periods. But he was tested in the third as Nashville fired 18 shots, including four durin a 5-on-3 advantage. St. Louis scored the only goal Turek needed early in the opening period as rookie Bryce Salvador got an unassisted tally. Reasoner increased the lead to 2-0 midway through the second period. Jamal Mayers skated down the right side and slid a pass into the slot to Reasoner, but he could only get a skate on it as he was tied up. The puck inadvertanly bounced off his left skate and past goaltender Mike Dunham as Reasoner was credited with his second preseason goal. Ladislav Nagy and Tyson Nash completed the scoring with third-period tallies for the Blues, who improved to 3-1-2 in the preseason. St. Louis rested regulars Al MacInnis and Pierre Turegon. Dunham made 27 saves for Nashville, which fell to 3-2-1.
