EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) _ Milan Hejduk, Dave Andreychuk and Alex Tanguay scored goals Wednesday night and the Colorado Avalanche extended their winning streak to six games with a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Avalanche, which leads the Northwest Division with 94 points and ranks third in the Northwest Division, also got two assists from Joe Sakic.

Edmonton finished 18-14-9 at home. The Oilers, seventh in the conference with 84 points, close out the regular season at Vancouver on Friday and at Calgary on Saturday.

Colorado took a 2-1 lead at 1:38 of the second period when Hejduk tucked home Adam Foote's pass while on a power play. The goal was Hejduk's 34th of the year, and his 13th on the power play.

Andreychuk scored his 20th goal of the season seven minutes later to put the Avalanche up 3-1.

Edmonton forward Rem Murray got the Oilers on the scoreboard when he beat Avalanche goalie Marc Denis at 8:26 of the first period.

The Oilers added their second goal at 7:31 of the third when Roman Hamrlik banked a shot in off Denis's stick, which had fallen to the ice.

Tanguay scored at 5:35 of the first period when he beat Tommy Salo.

Edmonton called up goaltender Mike Minard from the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday after backup Bill Ranford suffered a hamstring strain in the morning skate. Minard was 16-12-5 with a 3.08 goals-against average and a save percentage of .904.
