JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- Fred Taylor scored on runs of 16 and 86 yards just over 70 seconds apart in the first half as the Jacksonville Jaguars posted a 31-6 exhibition victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Taylor scored on a 16-yard burst with 17 seconds left in the opening quarter and after Kansas City went three-and-out, the first-year back broke free up the middle for an 86-yard score. Taylor finished with 105 yards on seven carries.

Mike Hollis converted a 50-yard field goal 3:07 into the second quarter and Mark Brunell found tight end Kyle Brady with an eight-yard scoring toss just under four minutes later. Brunell completed 7-of-13 passes for 71 yards.

Brunell was without wide receiver Keenan McCardell, who missed his second consecutive game with a right leg injury.

The Chiefs were held scoreless for more than 57 minutes, finally breaking through on a five-yard pass from Warren Moon to Kirby Dar Dar.

Kansas City quarterback Elvis Grbac struggled, going 7-of-20 for 57 yards and two interceptions.

The Jaguars (2-1) conclude their exhibition slate on September 2 at Dallas while Kansas City (1-2) finishes up at San Diego on September 3.
