ESPN.com news services

Despite No. 2 Tennessee's seven-point loss to top-ranked Connecticut on Saturday, the top seven spots remained the same in this week's ESPN/USA Today coaches' women's college basketball poll, which was released Monday.

Connecticut, which improved to 12-0 after Saturday's 74-67 victory over the Lady Vols, again received all 40 first-place votes to top the Top 25 with 1,000 points. Tennessee (11-2) was second with 932 points, 24 fewer than last week, followed by No. 3 North Carolina State, one of just three Division I teams still unbeaten, with 927 points.

Louisiana Tech (10-2) and Penn State (12-2) round out the top five, followed by No. 6 Notre Dame and No. 7 Georgia.

Duke moved up two spots from 10th to No. 8 after extending its winning streak to 13 games.

Tulane, the nation's third undefeated team at 14-0, made the biggest jump in the poll, moving from 20th to 15th.

Although several teams slipped three spots, Purdue and Mississippi State each dropped four spots. Purdue, the defending NCAA champion, lost back-to-back games against Michigan and Penn State.

There were no newcomers.
