RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Carisse Moody scored 23 points, including 10 during a decisive second-half run, as No. 19 North Carolina State pulled away from Atlantic Coast Conference rival Georgia Tech for a 77-63 victory.

Clinging to a 50-47 lead with 11:51 to play, the Wolfpack (6-1, 1-0 ACC) turned to Moody, who promptly made three layups and four free throws during a 15-4 burst that opened a 65-51 cushion with 6:33 to play.

Moody made 9-of-13 shots and 5-of-6 free throws, grabbed eight rebounds and collected three steals in 35 minutes. Tynesha Lewis scored 17 points for the Wolfpack, who have reeled off five straight wins since a 50-47 loss to Oregon in the Glaxo Wellcome Invitational on November 19.

Niesha Butler scored 22 points and Milli Martinez added 15 for the Lady Jackets (3-2, 0-1), who shot 41.5 percent (22-of-53) but made 12-of-20 shots in the opening 20 minutes to forge a 30-30 halftime tie.

Amy Simpson scored 19 points off the bench for North Carolina State, which shot 49 percent (28-of-57) and forced 25 turnovers.
