CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia (Ticker) -- Svetlana Volnaya scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as 17th-ranked Virginia rode hot shooting to a 116-63 pasting of St. Francis of Pennsylvania.

Volnaya was 8-of-14 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds for Virginia (4-2), which shot 63 percent (41-of-65), including 11-of-17 from 3-point range.

Chalois Lias added 17 points off the bench and Schyue LaRue had a huge game with 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and seven steals for the Cavaliers.

St. Francis (0-3) had an early 12-11 lead, but Virginia took control with a 30-8 run and had a 59-28 halftime advantage.

Beth Barnabei led all scorers with 23 points for the Red Flash, who shot 42 percent (24-of-57), committed 27 turnovers and were outrebounded, 38-26.
