AUBURN, Ala. -- Lori Nero scored 14 points, and Shera Looney
added 11 and grabbed 14 rebounds to help No. 20 Auburn rout North
Carolina-Asheville 70-31 Wednesday night.
Auburn (2-0) has not lost a non-conference home game since
Connecticut beat the Tigers Dec. 8, 1993. Auburn's record at
Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum over 22 years is 248-33.
Auburn took a 39-10 lead at the half.
Jessica Guarneri had 12 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs (0-3).
Auburn, 2-0 for the ninth consecutive season, shot 44 percent to
Asheville's 23 percent.
Auburn's Brandi Hillman had 12 rebounds and LaRita Spencer had eight assists.
