RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Angelina Wolvert scored 19 points and Oregon took advantage of poor free-throw shooting by Wisconsin to defeat the Badgers 71-57 in the season opener for both teams in the first round of the GlaxoWellcome Invitational on Saturday.

The Ducks will face North Carolina State in Sunday's championship game. The Wolfpack (No. 18 ESPN/USA Today, No. 19 AP) beat Elon 84-40 Saturday.

The Ducks (No. 24 AP) got 14 points from Jenny Mowe and won easily despite the absence of junior guard Shaquala Williams, the reigning Pacific-10 Conference player of the year who is expected to miss the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee in September.

The Badgers (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 16 AP) were led by guard Tamara Moore's 16 points. Jessie Stomski added 13 and Nina Smith scored 10.

Oregon trailed 10-6 before scoring 12 unanswered points, the last coming on Mowe's hook shot with 11:59 left in the first half.

The Ducks took a 34-17 lead on a jump shot by Brianne Meharry with 2:14 remaining in the half.

Oregon committed 14 fouls in the half, compared to just three by the Badgers. Wisconsin couldn't capitalize, and made just five of 17 free throws.

Oregon increased its lead to 58-38 on Mowe's tip-in with 8:47 to play, but Wisconsin went on a 10-2 run to close within 12 with 4:23 remaining.

Sophomore Kourtney Shreve ended the rally with a 3-pointer, her only basket, on Oregon's next possession.
