KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Desiree Francis had 20 points and Megan Taylor had 19 as Iowa State (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) beat Missouri-Kansas City 80-57 Tuesday night.

Stacy Frese had 12 points and eight rebounds for Iowa State (8-2). The Cyclones shot 58 percent in the first half and 52 percent for the game against the Kangaroos (6-5).

Lauren Powers had 18 points and seven rebounds for Missouri-Kansas City and Kaycee Kapels added 12 points.

The Cyclones defense caused 24 turnovers and held the Kangaroos to 34 percent shooting for the game.
