'Little things' lift Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Tiffany Krantz scored 16 points to lead Auburn (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 8 AP) to its fifth straight win, 79-31 over Charleston Southern on Wednesday.

"Today, we did the little things well," Auburn coach Joe Ciampi said. "Charleston Southern was packing it inside, which opened things up outside.

"We have worked really hard ... and that gives us good feelings going in the break. Today we controlled the game with defensive execution and rebounding."

Tasha Hamilton and Shana Askew each had 11 points for the Tigers (10-1), who scored the first nine points of the game.

Kate Sanford scored eight points to lead the Buccaneers (3-6), who trailed 36-16 at the half.

Auburn's margin of victory during its streak has been 39.8 points.
