TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona is still unbeaten, thanks to Tatum Brown.

Brown had 26 points and 11 rebounds as the 19th-ranked Wildcats beat Indiana 87-70 Sunday to win the Insight.com Bowl Classic.

Brown, named the tournament's MVP, made 11 of her 15 shots from the field with 17 of her points coming in a decisive first half as Arizona (8-0) built a commanding 52-39 lead.

"Tatum is playing really well right now," said Wildcats coach Joan Bonvicini. "She is very consistent and a solid, aggressive player. This was our first game against quality post players and we performed well against them."

Brown's lay-up with 14:50 remaining gave Arizona a 17-point cushion. The Wildcats went ahead by as many as 24 points in the closing moments on a pair of Brown free throws.

Indiana (4-5) was paced by Rainey Alting's 23 points. Jill Chapman added 17 and Heather Cassady 10 for the Hoosiers.

Arizona began taking control midway through the first half with eight consecutive points to build a 30-18 lead with 8:39 left.

"We need to keep up the intensity, play together, work on cutting down turnovers, and we're getting used to the sub rotation," Brown said. "We're starting to play really well as a team."

Indiana coach Jim Izard said Brown was just too much for his team to handle.

"She was realy great and they got her the ball a lot," he said. "We started out doing a good job of fronting her and some of the other post players, but did not later in the game. We started to allow too many passes into the post."

In the consolation game earlier Sunday, Middle Tennessee State beat Texas Southern 76-55.
