STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- Lisa Shepherd scored 27 points on 10-for-18 shooting from the field to lead Penn State (No. 11 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) to a 101-62 victory over St. Francis, Pa. on Thursday night.

The Lady Lions (4-1) used a balanced attack of good shooting, rebounding and passing to maintain a sizable lead over St. Francis (1-3) the entire game. Penn State led 54-29 at halftime and took its biggest lead, 46 points, with about six minutes to play.

Jess Zinobile led St. Francis with 22 points.

Penn State shot 52.7 percent from the field and outrebounded the Red Flash 41-34. Penn State also had 32 assists to St. Francis' 11.
