"Coming down regulation, Kelly did what Kelly does. You saw why she's an all-American," said Georgia coach Andy Landers. "She just hits big shot after big shot.

"Then, we got into overtime and her sister decided she'd help out a little bit."

The Bulldogs outscored Maine 8-2 in the first three minutes of overtime.

Maine's Amy Vachon scored on a driving layup with four seconds remaining in regulation to tie it at 61.

Georgia (6-0) led by 15 points with 7:37 left but went scoreless, and Maine (1-2) tied it the game. Martina Tinklova, playing for the first time after preseason knee surgery, hit two free throws with 2:05 left in regulation to erase the deficit.

Kelly Miller, 11 of 16 from the floor, led Georgia with 29 points and six assists. Coco Miller added 18 points.

Jamie Cassidy scored 29 points for Maine, including seven during the pivotal run, and had 17 rebounds. Vachon had 17 points and six assists.

"We just fought back real hard and stayed together," Vachon said. "To come back from 15 points down against a team like Georgia, we have to be proud of that."

Maine coach Joanne Palombo-McCallie praised her team's performance.

"I'm extremely proud of their effort and fight, but at the same time there's a real empty feeling because you knew you could win that game."

Georgia took a 10-point halftime lead when Camille Murphy threw in a 40-foot shot at the buzzer.

Stephen F. Austin beat St. Francis (Pa.) 71-60 in the consolation game.
