CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Telisha Quarles scored 17 points and
Chalois Lias had 14 rebounds Sunday as No. 15 Virginia defeated
George Washington 72-66 in the second round of the Preseason NIT.
Quarles hit four 3-pointers for the Cavaliers, who were 8-for-21
from beyond the arc. George Washington hit only two of 12 3-pointers,
but shot 48 percent overall to Virginia's 34 percent.
Lias and Marcie Dickson added 11 points each for the Cavaliers, and Svetlana Volnaya scored 10.
Ugo Oha and Corrin Reid scored 16 points apiece for George
Washington. Oha also had 12 rebounds.
