LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Seventh-ranked Texas Tech rolled over Big 12 Conference foe Texas, 73-44, as Aleah Johnson scored 20 points and Keitha Dickerson and Plenette Pierson combined for 25 and 23 rebounds.

Melinda Pharies scored 10 of her 13 points in the decisive first half for Texas Tech (17-2, 6-2 Big 12), which won its sixth straight since an 82-76 loss to conference-leading Oklahoma.

Texas (14-7, 5-3) led 4-0 in the opening 86 seconds but the Lady Raiders used an overpowering 35-5 run to take control. They led 40-16 at halftime as the Lady Longhorns shot just 24 percent (7-of-29) over the first 20 minutes.

Edwina Brown scored 18 points for Texas, which shot 1-of-8 from 3-point range and 3-of-8 from the line. The Lady Horns also commited 23 turnovers.
