Arizona (No. 15 ESPN/USA Today, No. 18 Associated Press) had closed the gap to 94-93 after Angela Lackey converted a pair of her school-record 15 free throws. Then Moos hit her first of two free throws and sank an eight-footer after missing the second.

Moos also made a free throw with 1.9 seconds remaining after Felecity Willis' layup reduced the Stanford lead to two. Arizona's Julie Brase's desperation shot from beyond the half-court line sailed off the back of the backboard.

Moos led the Cardinal (8-4, 1-1) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren St. Clair connected on five of Stanford's 13 3-pointers to score 19 points. Bethany Donaphin added 16 points, and Jamie Carey had 15 points.

The Wildcats (12-2, 1-1) were led by Lackey, who scored 21 points. Willis had 18 points and Brase added 16.

Stanford built its biggest lead of the game thanks to a string of 3-pointers with a little more than six minutes remaining.

Stanford made a season-high 13 3s on 26 attempts.

The Cardinal trailed by 10 in the first half before rallying for a 51-46 edge.
