| | KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee tailback Travis Henry was
carted off the field with a pinched nerve in his neck Saturday
after vaulting over the top near the goal line in the Vols' 38-10
victory over Vanderbilt.

With his mother by his side, the 5-foot-11, 220-pound junior was
taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for tests just
before halftime.
Tennessee trainer Mike Rollo said Henry was dazed by the blow
but had feeling and movement in his extremities.
Following the game, Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said Henry
had suffered a mild concussion and a pinched nerve in his neck.
"Great news! Travis is doing OK," Fulmer said. "I don't think
it's anything that serious."
Henry already had carried 19 times for 153 yards in the first
half, including a 63-yard touchdown in the first quarter, when he tried to score on second-and-goal from the Vanderbilt 3. He went into the air and awkwardly landed on his head and right shoulder at the 1.
The Volunteers gathered near Henry and prayed while he was
loaded onto a backboard with his neck strapped down.
