TOWSON, Md. (AP) _ Jamal White caught three touchdown passes, including the game-winner, as Towson defeated Dayton, 30-27, Saturday.

White tied a school record by catching 13 passes for 172 yards. He also upped his season totals to 75 catches for 1,237 yards, both Towson single-season records.

Joe Lee continued his record-setting season for the Tigers. He completed 37 of 70 passes for 463 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the sixth time in 10 games that Lee passed for more than 400 yards in a game this season.

The Tigers took a 3-0 lead in the game when Ed Kulic kicked a 31-yard field goal. The Tigers extended the lead to 9-0 midway in the second quarter when White caught an 18-yard TD pass from Lee. Kulic missed the conversion kick.

The Flyers got back in the game with 7:11 left in the quarter when Mary McNamara picked off a deflected pass and raced 59 yards for a TD. Dayton marched 77 yards on five plays and took 13-9 lead when Steve Mulqueen scored on a three-yard run.

The Tigers took a 16-13 lead with 12 seconds left in the half when Sean Hendricks blocked a punt and Madieu Williams recovered the ball in the end zone for the first touchdown of his career.

The Tigers extended their lead to 23-13 early in the third quarter when Lee threw a nine-yard TD pass to White, capping an 88-yard drive in five plays.

The Flyers cut the lead to 23-20 when Tony Hurps capped a drive with a 14-yard TD run.

Andrew Hollingsworth recovered a fumble in the fourth and White put the Tigers ahead 30-27 on an 11-yard TD pass.
