COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _Justin Fuente passed for 249 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a third Saturday, leading Murray State past Tennessee Tech 22-11.

The Racers never trailed, breaking on top with a 92-yard scoring drive in the first quarter. A 13-yard pass from Fuente to Jerome Tillman capped the drive.

Tech's Chad Evitts had 16 tackles. He blocked a punt that went through the end zone for a safety with 55 seconds left in the first quarter.

With 2:05 left in the first half, Fuente guided Murray (5-3, 4-1 Ohio Valley Conference) on a 96-yard scoring drive and a 15-2 halftime lead.

The Golden Eagles' David Collett kicked a 22-yard field goal with 7:33 left in the third quarter. Less than four minutes later, Murray's Fuente scored again, this time on a 4-yard run, ending a 68-yard drive.

Tech (5-2, 4-1 OVC) scored its only touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter on Grant Swallows's 1-yard run.
