BROOKLINE, Mass. (AP) _ Jimmy O'Neal's 3-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted Delaware over Northeastern 37-34 Saturday.

Delaware (5-2, 3-2 Atlantic 10) tied the game with 25 seconds left in regulation on a 24-yard field goal by Garon Sizemore.

Northeastern (1-7, 0-5) _ which lost its seventh straight and has never beaten Delaware in seven tries _ took a brief lead in overtime on a 33-yard field goal by Joe Connolly.

The Blue Hens got two touchdowns from Steve Ricco on runs of six and 15 yards. Their other scores came on a quarterback sneak by Brian Ginn and a 21-yard pass from Ginn to Jason VanKerkhoven.

The Huskies got two touchdowns apiece from Dave Klemic and Tim Gale _ Klemic's on passes of 36 and 10 yards from Adam Browne, Gale's on runs of 3 and 2 yards. Gale ran for 118 yards, 103 of them in the first half.

Ginn completed 15 of 29 passes for 222 yards, while Browne hit on 17 of 30 for 204 yards.

Northeastern needed only 29 seconds to score on Klemic's 36-yard pass from Browne. Joe Connolly kicked a 25-yard field goal for a 10-0 lead in the first 73 seconds, and the Huskies to a 17-10 lead into the half.
