Sahm stars as Bowling Green blasts Central

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) -- Andy Sahm threw a pair of first-half touchdown passes and Joe Alls ran for 134 yards on 29 carries as Bowling Green defeated Central Michigan 31-7 Saturday.

The Falcons (3-6, 2-5 Mid-American Conference) led 14-0 at halftime as Sahm threw for touchdowns of 31 yards to Aaron Alexander and 9 yards to Brent Martin.

Alls ran 1 yard for a score in the third quarter, and Bowling Green scored twice in the final period on a 26-yard field goal by Jason Strasser and a 26-yard run by Godfrey Lewis.

David Hannah caught a touchdown pass from Pete Shepherd on a play that covered 40 yards for the Chippewas (2-6, 1-4) in the third quarter.

Shepherd completed 26 of 43 passes for 248 yards. Hannah had eight catches for 96 yards, and teammate Ira Gooch caught eight for 59 yards.

Sahm was 9-for-19 for 116 yards and Ricky Schneider completed 5-of-6 for 65 yards. Aaron Alexander had six catches for 93 yards.

The Falcons had a 223-43 advantage in rushing yardage and led 404-291 in total offense.
