BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) _ Tony Bellamy's 12-yard touchdown pass to Michael Jordan with 48 seconds left lifted Alabama A&M to a 15-10 win over Alabama State in the Magic City Classic.

Bellamy led the Bulldogs (4-4, 1-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) on a 10-play, 90-yard drive in the final minutes. The two-point conversion failed.

Alabama State (1-6, 1-2) had taken a 10-9 lead on David Hinton's 32-yard field goal with 10:16 left. But the Hornets, who overcame a 28-0 deficit to win 35-28 in last year's game, were outgained 399-169 in total yards.

Bellamy completed 11-of-19 passes for 154 yards. Travoris Nunn rushed 14 times for 98 yards for the Bulldogs.

Alabama State's Larry Bias had 18 carries for 136 yards. But Hornets quarterback Antonio Jackson was just 9-of-20 for 90 yards on the day.

The Hornets opened the scoring with Marquaay Smith's 37-yard fumble recovery late in the first quarter.

Alabama A&M answered with Curtis Donnell's 10-yard TD run with 13:20 left in the second quarter, but the point after attempt was blocked.

Travis Schugg then hit a 28-yard field goal at the end of the third quarter to give the Bulldogs a 9-7 edge.
