MONROE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Jon Jennings ran for two touchdowns and Matt Sawnson threw for 218 yards to lead Wyoming to a 38-20 victory over Louisiana-Monroe.

Jennings carried eight times for 34 yards as Wyoming (4-2) defeated the Indians for the second time in as many meetings. Jennings gave the Cowboys a 28-20 lead with a four-yard run with 6:41 left in the third quarter. His 10-yard run completed the scoring 1:52 into the fourth.

Swanson completed 14-of-26 passes and had a one-yard run that put Wyoming ahead for good, 21-14, with 7:50 left in the second quarter.

Andy Chance was 16-of-28 for 196 yards and two touchdowns for Louisiana-Monroe (2-5). Chance also had a 39-yard run that tied the score 14-14, 51 seconds into the second quarter.

The Indians closed within 21-20 on Chance's 66-yard pass to Derrick Bridges with 6:17 left in the second quarter. But the extra point was missed and the Cowboys took a one-point lead into halftime.

Alex English took the opening kickoff 88 yards to give Wyoming a 7-0 lead. Patrick Chukwurah's 60-yard interception return made it 14-0 just 3:17 into the game. The Indians cut the deficit to 14-7 when Chance tossed a 30-yard pass to fullback Kond Allen three minutes later.
