NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ Yale compiled 512 yards of total offense and held Dartmouth to just 152 total yards in a 44-3 thrashing of the Big Green Saturday.

Yale quarterback Joe Walland completed 20 of 35 passes for 287 yards and one touchdown, and rushed for 49 yards and another touchdown on seven carries to become the school's all-time leading producer in offense. The win by Yale (3-1, 1-1) also ended the school's nine-game losing streak against Dartmouth (0-5, 0-2).

Bulldogs running back Rashad Bartholomew added 109 yards rushing and a touchdown, which held Dartmouth to just 47 yards rushing on 36 attempts.

"We watched the Lehigh film and watched how they ran their two-minute offense against them," Yale coach Jack Siedlecki said. "That's one of the great things about our offense is that we can run a four-receiver set and not change personnel. And from a defensive standpoint, that's tough."

Yale's Mike Murawczyk opened the scoring with a 19-yard field goal for Yale in the first quarter before Walland scored on a 22-yard run about five minutes later.

The Big Green got on the board next with a 44-yard field goal from Alex Csizinsky before Walland capped a 10-play, 74-yard scoring drive with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Eric Johnson with four seconds left in the first half. Walland hooked up with Johnson five times for 40 yards on that drive.

"It was real important to score before the end of the half because we needed to get some momentum going into the second half," Walland said. "With two minutes left, coach put all the plays in my hands and we just moved the ball down the field. Johnson is such a big target and did a great job of finding the little seems."

Yale found the end zone again in the third quarter when Bartholomew scored his lone touchdown from one-yard out. One minute later, Todd Tomich intercepted a Brian Mann pass and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown to give Yale a 31-3 lead.

The Bulldogs widened the gap with a pair of Murawczyk field goals from 38 and 29 yards out in the fourth quarter. Backup running back Jay Schulze added the game's final score with 3:02 left to play when he broke free for a 31-yard touchdown run for Yale.

Mann was sacked eight times before being replaced by backup John Vogler late in the fourth quarter. The Big Green have now been outscored 146-36 on the season.
