OGDEN, Utah (AP) _ Cole Cooper threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Phil Hazel with 1:01 remaining as Weber State beat Cal State Sacramento 52-49 on Saturday night.

Keenan Gordan sealed the victory for the Wildcats (3-2, 2-1 Big Sky) with his third interception, which he caught at Weber State's 11-yard line as time expired.

The Wildcats led 45-35 with 10 minutes to play but the Hornets (3-2, 1-2) struck for 14 unanswered points. Ricky Ray threw a 33-yard pass to Gary Austin and scored on a 6-yard keeper to give Sacramento State a 49-45 lead with 3:46 remaining.

Weber State's Derek Poole rushed for 205 yards and one TD while Morgan Welch rushed for 67 yards and scored on runs of 2, 20 and 2 yards.

Charles Roberts, the nation's leading Division I-AA rusher, had 220 yards on 27 carries and two TDs for the Hornets, who raced to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

But Weber State led 28-21 at halftime after scoring twice in a 10-second span in the last minute of the first half.

Cooper threw a 23-yard TD pass to Poole to tie it at 21 with 57 seconds left in the second quarter. After Sacramento State's Charles Thorntona fumbled, the Wildcats recovered and Cooper found Ryan Price for a 29-yard TD.
