RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ Ron Patterson rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown and Richmond took advantage of six New Hampshire turnovers Saturday in a 27-10 victory. Patterson, playing in the place of injured starter TyRonne Turner, carried 33 times for the Spiders, and quarterback Jimmie Miles threw for two touchdowns for Richmond (2-2, 1-2 Atlantic 10). Richmond scored following four of the six turnovers by New Hampshire (1-3, 1-3), who have given up 16 turnovers in four games this year. Miles gave the Spiders a 10-0 lead with a 10-yard TD pass to Dwaune Jones midway through the first quarter. Richmond pulled away when Miles connected with Muneer Moore for an 11-yard score with 1:41 remaining in the third quarter. Patterson sealed the win with an 18-yard run late in the fourth quarter that gave the Spiders a 27-10 lead. The Wildcats scored with 24 seconds remaining on Ryan Day's six-yard pass to Curran, but it was too late. Curran led the Wildcats with 79 yards on 19 carries.
