BOX SCORE
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ Pa'Tell Troutman rushed for one touchdown and threw for another Saturday night to rally Bethune-Cookman from a 9-point deficit as the Wildcats defeated Morris Brown 28-16. Troutman put the Wildcats down 16-7 when his pass was intercepted by Morris Brown's Lemuel Mullins, who then posted a 60-yard return midway through the third quarter. Bethune-Cookman quickly came back as Troutman took an option 39 yards to cut it 16-14 with 7:29 remaining in the third quarter. On Morris Brown's next possession, B-CC lineman Fred Flowers recovered a Wolverine fumble to give the Wildcats on the MBC 30. Five plays later, Troutman connected with Curtis Williams on a 5-yard touchdown pass that made it 22-16 with 14:49 remaining. Jeremy Thomas added a 1-yard touchdown with 7:22 remaining to conclude the scoring. Morris Brown took a 10-7 halftime lead on Eric Jackson's 24-yard field goal with 1:37 left to go in the second quarter. That was after Jermaine Walker recovered a Wildcat fumble at the B-CC 24. Three Wildcat turnovers each gave Morris Brown the ball inside the B-CC 25, but the Wolverines gave the ball right back on two occasions. In the first quarter, Randall Foster's 27-yard touchdown pass to Erik Lash gave Bethune-Cookman a 7-0 lead with 7:37 remaining, but Morris Brown quickly answered when Damien Ward hit Laquonne Holden for a 42-yard score just 95 seconds later.
