ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) _ Ricky Rahne threw for 232 yards and four touchdowns to lead Cornell to a 42-14 win over Fordham Saturday.

Rahne completed 19 of 29 passes before leaving the game halfway through the fourth quarter. Halfback Deon Harris had 143 yards on 21 carries, including a 53-yard breakaway, as Cornell totaled 468 yards in total offense while holding Fordham to 278 yards.

In its first series Cornell (2-0) drove 61 yards in five plays finished by Rahne's pass to wide receiver Edgar Romney for a 31-yard touchdown.

Fordham came back in the second quarter driving 80-yards in 12-plays. Mark Carney hit Gerry McDermott with an 18-yard pass in the end zone.

Rahne threw two more first half TDs, one for 4 yards to fullback Justin Dunleavy and a 7-yard pass to wide receiver Joe Splendorio after an interception by Cornell's John Algo, to give Cornell a 21-7 lead.

Rahne hit Keith Ferguson in the third period with a 28-yard touchdown pass. Ferguson caught a 32-yard TD pass from Jay Posner, shortly after he gave Rahne a rest.

For Fordham (0-3), running back Al Lundy scored from the 9-yard line with 3:49 left in the game.

``The O-line had a lot to do with the success'' of the passing game, Rahne said. ``Anytime that you can go two games without being sacked is nice. They enable me to make the necessary reads.''
