MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) _ David Dinkins amassed a school-record 484 yards on offense, passing for three touchdowns and running for three more to break another record and lead Morehead State past Dayton 50-39 on Saturday night.

Morehead State (3-0) led 31-19 at halftime on the strength of Dinkins. He ran for two touchdowns in the first quarter and passed for two in the second.

David George had a pair of 1-yard scoring runs for Dayton (1-3) in the first half, and Jimmy Lee ran 5 yards for a score in the second quarter. Patrick McLaughlin passed for two TDs and ran for another in the fourth quarter for Dayton.

Dinkins broke the record of 482 yards he set last year at Morehead. He was 19-of-32 for 315 yards passing and rushed 15 times for 169 yards.

His six TDs broke a 1938 single-game school record for TDs in a game.
