STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) _ Rick Sarille rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns as Wagner beat Stony Brook 24-12 Saturday in the Northeast Conference.

The Seahawks (1-0) beat the Seawolves (0-1) for the sixth straight time.

Wagner took a 7-0 lead on Sarille's 10-yard TD run in the second quarter. The Seahawks made it 14-0 in the third quarter when Kharee Shorter intercepted a pass from Brian Stanley and returned it 20 yards to the end zone.

Stony Brook closed to 14-12 on two TD passes by Stanley _ a 16-yarder to Kevin Csoka with six minutes left in the third period and a 56-yarder to Lucas Niskanen with 12:30 left in the fourth.

But Sarille, who carried 34 times, sealed the victory with a 15-yard TD run with 8:19 remaining.
