BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana State had what it took to beat Indiana on its home court Saturday night in a tournament the Hoosiers have dominated for 26 years.

Just ask Indiana coach Bob Knight.

	Nate Green had seven points for Indiana State as the Sycamores stole the show in Assembly Hall.

"That's one of those nights that happens where you wish you were coaching the other team," Knight said. "We got outplayed, out-coached, out-hustled, out-everything tonight. They just dominated us from beginning to end."

The Sycamores upset the Hoosiers 63-60 in the championship game of the Indiana Classic when Luke Jimenez's desperation 3-point shot fell short at the buzzer.

The loss was the first for Indiana (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 15 AP) in 52 games over the tournament's 26 years. Earlier, North Texas beat Buffalo 102-91 in the consolation game.

"Our guys played great basketball for 37 minutes," Indiana State coach Royce Waltman said. "Unlike their last couple of games, they mishandled a couple of possessions and we were able to hang on to the slim lead."

Kelyn Block had 17 points to lead the Sycamores (5-4), who beat the Hoosiers for the first time since 1925. Indiana State, 3-15 overall against Indiana, became only the third instate team to beat the Hoosiers at home.

Matt Renn added 15 for the Sycamores.

"This is the highlight of my career," Indiana State guard Michael Menser said. "This is a great win for the individuals on our team, the team as a whole and the city of Terre Haute. We struggled down the stretch but somehow we pulled out the victory."

Indiana (6-1) got within 61-60 when Michael Lewis hit a 3-pointer with 2:43 remaining. Lewis led the Hoosiers with 19 points.

Indiana last possession with 20 seconds to go on a turnover by Lewis, who then fouled Block. Block hit two free throws with 17.9 seconds remaining to give Indiana State a 63-60 lead.

Missed 3-pointers by A.J. Guyton and Jimenez in the final seconds ended Indiana's chance for a tie.

"We had a chance," Knight said. "We turned the ball over four or five times in the last minute and half, but still had a chance.

"We had senior guards that had three assist and 12 turnovers between them. We just got flat outplayed, beat. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. We didn't have a kid tonight that wasn't outplayed by the Indiana State kids."
