HONOLULU (Ticker) -- David Shelton scored 19 points off the bench in 24 minutes as No. 13 Tulsa won its fourth straight game, a 75-61 victory over Western Athletic Conference rival Hawaii. Shelton scored eight points during a 21-10 run as Tulsa (24-2, 9-1 WAC) gained a 60-49 lead with 6:47 left and notched its 17th win in 18 contests. He was 7-of-12 from the floor to help the Golden Hurricane shoot 47 percent (30-of-64) overall. The Golden Hurricane shot 50 percent (17-of-34) in the second half and outscored the Rainbows 41-29. They moved two games ahead of Southern Methodist for the league lead. Greg Harrington scored 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Tony Heard added 11 for Tulsa, which has split four games in Honolulu. Harrington averaged 18 points this season in the two contests against Hawaii. The Golden Hurricane, who defeated the Rainbows 100-78 on January 22, hold a 5-2 lead in the all-time series. Marquette Alexander scored in double figures for the 19th straight contest with 18 points for Hawaii (15-9, 4-7), which has lost four in a row for the first time since a six-game slide last season. Pregrag Savovic reached double figures for the 11th time in 12 games with 16 points and Troy Ostler grabbed 15 rebounds for the Rainbows, who outrebounded the Golden Hurricane 39-29. Hawaii lost its third home game in 16 contests and fell to 14-4 here this season. Harrington and Heard scored seven points apiece as Tulsa led 34-32, at halftime. Savovic paced Hawaii with 13 points.
