BOX SCORE
NEW YORK (AP) -- Mark Karcher scored 20 points and Pepe Sanchez had 12 assists as Temple (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) won its third straight game with those two back in the lineup, 78-61 over Fordham on Wednesday night. The Owls (9-3, 3-0 Atlantic 10) beat the Rams (7-8, 0-3) for the 10th consecutive time, a streak that dates to 1981. Karcher, who missed one game with a strained shoulder, had 12 of Temple's first 14 points. His 3-pointer started an 11-0 run that gave the Owls a 22-13 lead halfway through the first half and they were in control the rest of the way. Karcher, the team's leading scorer at 15.6 points per game, had the first five points in the 11-2 run that gave Temple its biggest lead, 66-38 with 9:30 to play. The closest Fordham got the rest of the way was 17 points three times, all over the final 1:18. Sanchez, who missed eight games after severely spraining an ankle in the season opener, had just three points on 1-for-7 shooting, but that didn't matter. He had nine assists in each of his first two games back and he bettered that against Fordham. He had just one turnover and made six steals, just missing his averages of the previous two games. Lynn Greer had 18 points for Temple and Quincy Wadley added 16. Alejandro Olivares had 16 points for the Rams, who have lost three straight -- all in the conference -- and four of five. Bevon Robin had 17 points and Jason Harris had three on 1-for-9 shooting. Over his last four games Harris, the team's leading scorer at 17.4 points per game, was 10-for-37. | ALSO SEE Mens College Basketball Scoreboard
