DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke (No. 8 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 8 AP) showed few signs of an 11-day layoff.
"Overall, with the break, trying to do some of the things we've
been working on in practice, it was a good job," Duke coach Mike
Krzyzewski said Sunday following the Blue Devils' 96-55 win over
William & Mary.

Carlos Boozer scored a career-high 28 points and Chris Carrawell
added 20 in Duke's 600th win at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue
Devils (9-2) have beaten the Tribe (5-5) 15 straight times, and
Duke has won by at least 23 points in the last eight games.
Duke, which had not played since a 109-65 win over Davidson on
Dec. 21, missed makeable shots and looked sloppy on defense at
times but still managed to cover up its mistakes.
Typical was a tip-in by Nate James with 7:15 left in the first
half.
Up 42-11, Boozer mishandled a pass from Jason Williams under the basket. As the ball squirted up, James rushed in from the backcourt
and tapped it into the basket.
"We were very efficient offensively," Krzyzewski said.
"Certainly, the most efficient person was Boozer. We got him the
ball in good spots. He played like he's practiced.
Boozer, a freshman center who scored 25 in a win over Michigan,
was 11-for-12, with the only miss coming in the second half.
Shane Battier, who has helped carry Duke as the young freshman
got used to collegiate play, had 12 points.
"With Carlos being open, I think Shane kind of took himself out
of the game," Krzyzewski said. "Being unselfish like he is, he
just wasn't hunting his shot, but he still needs to do that."
The Blue Devils took control from the outset and led 23-4 with
13:59 left in the first half after Mike Dunleavy converted on
Battier's alley-oop pass.
William & Mary didn't make it to double figures until Cody
Carbaugh's basket with 9:31 to go in the first half cut Duke's lead
to 32-11.
"They're very good. I don't think there was any big surprise
about that, but we came out the first 10 minutes and played scared
to death," Tribe coach Charlie Woollum said.
In the first half, Williams scored 17 points, including five
3-pointers. Boozer added 15 and Carrawell scored 13 in the half as
Duke took a 56-25 lead.
Boozer scored 13 points in the first 12 minutes of the second
half. He followed a free throw with two straight baskets to make it
78-38 with 9:35 to go.
The Blue Devils made 23 of 41 shots (56 percent) and held
William & Mary to just 31-percent shooting in the first half.
William & Mary was led by Scotty Scott with 15 points and Jim
Moran with 13.
Duke is 600-135 at home since its arena opened on Jan. 6, 1940.
Only Washington, Pennsylvania and Minnesota have 600 or more wins
on their current home courts.
The Blue Devils also extended their ACC and school-record
home-winning streak to 42, the third-longest in the country behind
Utah and Murray State.
After scoring at least 100 points in its last three games, Duke
fell four points short of the mark Sunday. No Blue Devils team has
ever put together four straight 100-point games.
