LOS ANGELES -- The Orlando Magic activated forward Grant Hill on Monday, meaning he'll be in uniform against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night for the first time since the season's early stages.

Hill was placed on the injured list Nov. 6 to rehab a left ankle injury that required surgery in May. He has missed 18 games.

Acquired in an offseason sign-and-trade deal with the Detroit Pistons, Hill was noticeably hobbled by the ankle during a loss to Philadelphia on Nov. 3 and sat out a victory over the Atlanta Hawks the following night.

In two starts this season, Hill has averaged 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals.

Hill, considered to be the best all-around small forward in the NBA, spent his entire six-year career with the Pistons before being acquired by Orlando in August. Hill received a $92.8 million deal over seven years.

The 27-year-old Hill, who averaged 21.6 points in his six years with Detroit, was selected to play for the U.S. Olympic team but had to withdraw due to a broken left ankle suffered in the playoffs.
