WASHINGTON -- Patrick Ewing trade talks reportedly have reheated, this time with the Washington Wizards.

The Washington Post in Wednesday's editions cited a league source familiar with the discussions as confirming the Knicks and Wizards are in negotiations.
Unlike the complicated four-team, 13-player blockbuster that fell through last week, the Wizards are only interested in Ewing.
The Post source did not say who the Knicks would receive in return, but it is likely that at least one of Washington's high-priced players -- Juwan Howard, Rod Strickland or Mitch Richmond -- would be part of the deal because of Ewing's $14 million salary this season.
No formal offer has been made by either team, a source told the newspaper.
Ewing, 38, has been limited in recent years due to knee, wrist and Achilles' tendon injuries. Still, he remains in the top tier of centers in the league.
Seattle came close to acquiring Ewing last week in a deal that involved Sonics forward Vin Baker and Los Angeles Lakers forward Glen Rice to New York. The deal fell apart after the Detroit Pistons pulled out of the trade unhappy with the package of players they would have received.
Michael Jordan, the Wizards' president of basketball operations, acknowledged last week that the Wizards and Knicks discussed a trade for Ewing while New York was negotiating with the Sonics.
Ewing would be attractive to Washington since he was an All-American at Georgetown. He has said he wants to play two more seasons.
